Troy Tomlin, 26, charged with two counts of rape

A man has appeared in court accused of raping two women in Birmingham. The alleged attacks took place at around 11.30pm on Saturday 1 June at an address in Five Ways, just outside the city centre.

Troy Tomlin, 26, is accused of rape, robbery, possession of an imitation firearm with intent to cause fear, possession of a blade and possession of cannabis. He was due to appear at Birmingham Magistrates’ Court today, Tuesday 4 June.



West Midlands Police said: “We have charged a man who raped two women who were attacked at a residence in Five Ways, Birmingham this week. Troy Tomlin, 26, is also charged with robbery, possession of an imitation firearm with intent to cause fear, possession of a blade and possession of cannabis.”

“Tomlin, who is of no fixed address, appeared before the municipal magistrate today following the attacks, which took place at around 11.30pm on June 1. The victims continue to be supported by specially trained officers.”
