Abandoned vehicle believed to be linked to Houston murder found locally – Port Arthur News

BEAUMONT — An abandoned vehicle in Beaumont with a deceased man inside is believed to be linked to a homicide in Houston.

The Houston Police Department contacted the Beaumont Police Department at 11:40 a.m. Tuesday regarding checking the area of ​​the 2500 block of I-10 East for an abandoned vehicle believed to have been used in a murder in Houston on Sunday.

When officers arrived, they located the vehicle and found a deceased man inside, according to BPD information.

Houston Police detectives will work the case in conjunction with BPD detectives. At this time, the person inside the vehicle is believed to be the person of interest in the HPD homicide. The investigation is ongoing.

BPD offered its thanks to the businesses in that area as surveillance video helped put the pieces of the investigation together.
