Sahuarita Police Investigate Murder | crime

SAHUARITA, Ariz. (KVOA) – Sahuarita police are investigating a homicide after a victim was found dead in her home.

At approximately 6:17 p.m. Friday, Sahuarita police officers received a report that a family member was found dead in the home near the 300 block of Calle Minerva E.

Upon arrival, SPD and Green Valley Fire District located the victim and determined he had sustained obvious signs of trauma.

According to SPD, the crime scene is currently under investigation as detectives and crime scene specialists examine the home for evidence and say the public may see a large police presence in the area as the investigation continues.

SPD says this death is being treated as a homicide investigation, but there is no known threat to the public at this time.

Additional information, including the identity of the victim, will be released at a later date.
