Man struck by car, killed on DLSD on South Side: Chicago Police

Chicago police said the car crash occurred after officers responded to a domestic incident in the 3900 block of South Lark Park Avenue.

CHICAGO (WLS) – A man is dead after he was hit by a car early Saturday morning on the city’s South Side, Chicago police said.

Police said the accident occurred after officers responded to a domestic incident in the 3900 block of South Lark Park Avenue just before 12:30 p.m

When officers arrived, a 46-year-old man involved in the domestic incident left the scene, police said. He then attempted to cross the 3800 block of South DuSable Lake Shore Drive.

According to police, the man was struck by a vehicle traveling north on DuSable Lake Shore Drive. He sustained trauma to his body and was pronounced dead at the scene.

The CPD’s Investigative Response Team is investigating.
