THE SILHOUETTE IN THE FRONT OR BACKGROUND ON THE HORIZON. So it was just a beautiful night. CERTAINLY UNFORGETTABLE FOR MANY OF US. WHEN YOU VIEW THE NORTHERN LIGHTS FROM YOUR BACKYARD, IT’S A COOL START. You’ve probably noticed that it’s still pretty cool out there and the air is really dry if you’re out early this morning looking at the lights, for some of us in our 40s, but most of us in our 50s now. That’s why it feels so fresh and refreshing. The dew points are in the 40s, a few days ago they were in the 60s, so a big drop in humidity for us and really all of the Carolines are feeling nice and comfortable now. BLUE SKY. YOU WILL BE CLEAR FOR A WHILE. A few additional clouds will roll in later today. THANKS TO A DISTURBANCE NOW MOVED THROUGH THE GREAT LAKES, THIS LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM WILL NOT MOVE QUITE MUCH, BUT THE COLD FRONT WILL START SWINGING SOUTH AND EAST TOWARD OUR REGION. There will be a few more clouds this afternoon. Maybe it’s the low chance of a rain shower or an isolated shower. BUT MOST OF US ARE DRY TODAY. It’s going to be a wonderful day. LOW HUMIDITY, HIGH IN THE LOW 70’S IN THE PIEDMONT TRIAD. EVEN FUTURECAST DON’T RECEIVE MUCH BUT THEY SEE A FEW BLIPS TURNING UP ON THE RADAR LATER TONIGHT. ONLY SHORT LIGHT RAIN POSSIBLE. And from then on we dry out. MOTHER’S DAY LOOKS BEAUTIFUL. I’ll be with you hour by hour, helping you plan all those outdoor activities with your mom and looking at the changes the weather will bring over the next week. EVERYTHING WILL BE THERE IN A FEW MINUTES. IN ORDER. THANK YOU VERY MUCH. DYLAN, A MAN WAS ARRESTED AFTER A SHOOTING LAST WEEK IN HIGH POINT.
