Rudy Giuliani slams WABC for firing over election talk

Former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani claimed WABC Radio banned him from its daily show to appease “little bastard” President Biden – and accused the station of harboring a hostile work environment.

The once-popular “America’s Mayor” called station owner John Catsimatidis a hypocrite for promoting free speech while discouraging Giuliani from telling “the truth” about the “stolen” 2020 presidential election.

“What John Catsimatidis did is a disgrace. Under the pretense that he was building some kind of First Amendment station, he ripped a hole in the First Amendment so big you can’t even find it. “You can’t tell someone not to talk about the 2020 presidential election and tell me you respect free speech,” Giuliani said in his comment “America’s Mayor Live” show on X Friday night.

“Isn’t this a test? All good people are those who want to speak, and the bad people are those who want to stop people from speaking. No one can really know anything about it…And isn’t it a damn bad time to stop me from doing what I’ve been doing for three and a half years – just when they might be getting ready to steal another election?”

Hours earlier, he was banned from the network’s “The Rudy Giuliani Show” for allegedly violating a company-wide policy “not to state, suggest or imply that the election results are invalid.”

However, billionaire supermarket mogul and broadcaster owner Catsimatidis told the Post late Friday that Giuliani had been slapped with a written warning just a day earlier to avoid the topic of a stolen election – a debunked conspiracy.

Instead of complying, the disgraced former mayor wrote a text expressing his intention to ignore “every instruction” in the letter, which he dismissed as “excessive.”

“I had no choice but to suspend him. What media outlet wouldn’t suspend him on that basis?” Catsimatidis said in a call shortly after Giuliani’s fiery X broadcast.

“I said to him, you’re suspended, let’s sit together on Monday and talk, and then he’s livid.”

The mogul said he became “belligerent” when they told the ex-mayor he wasn’t allowed on air for his 3 p.m. show.

Asked whether Giuliani’s behavior after learning of his suspension could lead to his firing, Catsimatidis said: “We are meeting on Monday to decide what our next step is.

“Most likely the suspension will be permanent based on what he does tonight.”

“He did it to himself,” said Catsimatidis, who runs Red Apple Media.

But according to Giuliani, he was never told anything about politics.

Even more confusing was the claim that the “stolen” 2020 election was a major theme on his show, which he has hosted since 2021.

“Those of you who listen to me on WABC or this show will find it very, very strange to think that there was such a policy,” Giuliani said.

“If I hadn’t talked about the 2020 presidential election, I wouldn’t have been on the air for the last five years. You’re watching me. I talked about it every day, every night. It’s an essential part of my show.

“If it were such a policy, I would have to be crazy to continue like this. Or I would say politics is meaningless.”

Giuliani accused Catsimatidis of firing him to get even with Democrats, who he claimed were preparing to steal another presidential election.

“The thing with the Democrats has something to do with it. And the fact that the Bidens are now really focused on interfering in the 2024 election. And remember, we can go right back to the beginning. “The first thing Biden did as a candidate was write a letter to the network saying to keep me away,” Giuliani claimed.

“He started out as a little trailer trash shit taking little pieces with his little grubby brothers. And now he’s a world-class thief. Kind of weird, he’s president of the United States.”

According to the former mayor, WABC also hired his co-host Dr. Maria Ryan fired, whom he encouraged to sue the radio station for a hostile work environment.

Giuliani didn’t go into details but said she was “treated terribly as a woman” and suggested the treatment would be extended to all women in the workplace.

The conservation, which cost Donald Trump’s former lawyer his $15,000 monthly salary, is the latest in a series of financial setbacks.

He faces a mountain of proposed legislation to combat criminal cases in Arizona and Georgia, where he was accused of trying to overturn the 2020 election – as well as several civil lawsuits, including from voting machine companies Dominion and Smartmatic and a former employee who He was charged with sexual assault.

Working as a lawyer is also not possible. Giuliani, who is also a former federal prosecutor, had his law license revoked in New York City in 2021.

He faces being banned from practicing law because of “his total disregard for facts” that “denigrate the legal profession,” a panel said last year.
