Accident on Shrewsbury Street, Worcester.

WORCESTER – Traffic is backed up on Shrewsbury Street and the surrounding area as police investigate an afternoon pedestrian accident.

The accident occurred around 3:45 p.m. on the westbound lane, opposite the Boulevard Diner.

Police accident investigators are on site, interviewing witnesses and marking evidence.

The westbound lanes are closed between the Cristoforo Colombo Park (East Park) area and Washington Square.
