Man killed in shooting in Lloyd District

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) – Police are investigating after a man was killed in a shooting in the Lloyd District neighborhood Sunday morning.

Shortly after 6 a.m., officers responded to a report of shots fired near Northeast 6th Avenue and Northeast Holladay Street.

When they arrived, they found a dead man on the sidewalk.

All possible suspects had already left the crime scene before the police arrived; no arrests were made.

During the investigation, Northeast Holladay Street was closed between Northeast Grand Avenue and Northeast 7th Avenue.

Officials say MAX Blue Line service in the area will be impacted and commuters should expect delays. A shuttle bus will also run from the Convention Center to the Lloyd Center/Northeast 11th Avenue stops.
