MassDOT employee killed after collision in West Bridgewater

WEST BRIDGEWATER, Mass. (WLNE) – Plymouth District Attorney Tim Cruz said a Massachusetts Department of Transportation employee was killed in a collision on July 27.

The worker was identified as 57-year-old David Sousa of Stoughton, who was picking up debris from the road on Route 24 around 9:30 p.m. when he was struck.

Cruz added that the driver was still at the scene and the northbound lanes were closed for three hours due to the accident.

The investigation into the crash is ongoing.
