Tantric rapes woman under the pretext of removing black magic

A 45-year-old man was arrested in Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh for allegedly raping a woman under the pretext of black magic. The accused, identified as Dinesh Chaurasia, was taken into custody after a case was registered at Ramgarh Tal police station.

The incident came to light when the 42-year-old victim reported that Chaurasia had promised to solve her domestic problems and illness through black magic. In desperation to find a solution to her problems, the woman invited Chaurasia to her home when she was alone.

Ramgarh Valley SHO Chitwan Kumar Singh told news agency PTI that Chaurasia took advantage of the woman’s loneliness. When he reached her home, he drugged her and then raped her. After the crime, Chaurasia fled the scene, taking jewelry and other valuables with him. The woman was left unconscious.

When the victim regained consciousness, she immediately informed her husband about the ordeal. Her husband then filed a complaint at the police station on Thursday. Following the complaint, the police launched an investigation and arrested Chaurasia on Saturday.
