Shuttle buses replace the Green Line, service suspended

Shuttle buses are replacing service on the Green Line E after a train broke down near Boston’s Mission Hill neighborhood Monday morning due to line problems. The MBTA said pantograph issues occurred near the Brigham Circle stop around 8:40 a.m. Service is temporarily suspended between Copley and Heath Street. Copley shuttles board at St. James Avenue and Dartmouth Street, the MBTA said. The MBTA also recommended that riders use bus route 39 as an alternate connection. Updates will be posted on the MBTA’s X account and website.

Shuttle buses will replace service on the Green Line E route after a train broke down near Boston’s Mission Hill neighborhood on Monday morning due to line problems.

According to the MBTA, problems with the pantograph occurred near the Brigham Circle stop at around 8:40 a.m.

Service between Copley and Heath Street is temporarily suspended. Copley shuttles board at St. James Avenue and Dartmouth Street, the MBTA said.

The MBTA also encouraged passengers to use bus route 39 as an alternative connection.
