Police arrest suspect after Baton Rouge shooting that left one person dead

BATON ROUGE, Louisiana (BRPROUD) – A man has been arrested in connection with a shooting that left one person dead on Saturday, July 13.

Christen Baker, 18, was charged with first-degree murder and illegal use of a weapon. The shooting occurred in the 1700 block of North Harco Drive and left 25-year-old Javezz Dunn dead, BRPD said.


They said officers found Dunn’s body “behind a complex of buildings.”

According to BRPD, “Baker shot Dunn after a verbal argument.”

He was taken to the East Baton Rouge Parish Jail, BRPD said.
