Police: Missing man suffers from mental illness; is calling on the public to help find him

SHREVEPORT, La. (KTAL/KMSS) – A man suffering from mental illness is missing and Shreveport police are asking the community for help in bringing him home.

According to police, 43-year-old Calvin Elie was reported missing on May 4th.

Elie was last seen in Shreveport, but no exact location was given. He is 1.70 meters tall, weighs 50 to 60 kilograms and has brown eyes and black hair. He wore a purple and white shirt and turquoise Nike shoes.

The police are concerned because Elie suffers from mental illness. It is therefore a particular concern for the SPD to find him and ensure his safety and well-being.
