HCSO deputy shoots man outside north Harris County gas station

HOUSTON (KIAH) — A Harris County sheriff’s deputy shot a man inside a northern Harris County gas station after he said he pointed a gun at the deputy.

Deputies were initially called to the gas station located at FM 1960 and Ella Boulevard around 3 p.m. Thursday for reports of a 47-year-old man pointing a gun at random people.

The suspect was shot in the hip and is expected to survive.

Deputies said the man had an open warrant for burglary and probation violation.
