Paterson shooting: Investigations underway after two shootings in New Jersey

PATERSON, N.J. (WABC) – Police responded to the investigation of a shooting on Broadway in Paterson Wednesday afternoon.

According to officials, two people were found with gunshot wounds at the corner of Broadway and Main Street around 4 p.m., a 56-year-old woman and a 35-year-old man.

They were taken to St. Joseph’s University Medical Center for treatment and are expected to survive.

A vehicle with its windows shot out was seen from NewsCopter 7 between a Wendy’s restaurant at 145 Broadway and the entrance to Passaic County Community College.

There was also a second scene further up the block between Main Street and Washington Street in front of a pizza parlor.

It is not yet known whether anyone is in custody.

Few further details were disclosed.
