Bullhead City man arrested on suspicion of fatal knife attack on uncle

A Bullhead City man has been arrested on suspicion of stabbing his uncle to death in a residence.

Officials said that on June 29, at around 8:30 p.m., officers were called to a home near Colina Drive and Ramar Road on reports of a weapons violation. There, they found 53-year-old Steven Anderson in critical condition with multiple stab wounds.

Paramedics took Anderson to a hospital, where he later died from his injuries, officials said. Investigators later said they linked the stabbing to 30-year-old Don Kelso.

Fort Mojave Tribal Police found Kelso walking near King Street and Highway 95 in the Mohave Valley around 6 a.m. on June 30 and booked him into the Mohave County Jail in Kingman on a charge of first-degree murder.

Kelso’s next court date was not immediately set.
