Drones attacked an oil refinery in Bashkortostan

Another drone attack occurred at one of Russia’s oil refineries in Bashkortostan.

This was reported by Telegram channels Baza, Astra and Mash.

“Drones attacked the ‘Salavatnefteorgsintez’ oil refinery in Bashkortostan,” the Baza statement said.

According to the broadcaster Telegram, the drone hit the catalytic cracking plant around one o’clock in the afternoon. Afterward, plant employees heard a bang and saw smoke near the southern checkpoint. The fire is small, so workers were not evacuated and the plant continues to operate normally.

According to preliminary information, one of the systems on the factory premises was damaged.

Salavat is a city in the Republic of Bashkortostan, Russia, about 1,500 to 2,000 kilometers from the border with Ukraine. Gazprom Neft Salavat carries out the entire cycle of hydrocarbon processing and produces gasoline, diesel fuel, kerosene and other petroleum products. The corporate structure includes oil refining and petrochemical plants as well as the monomer plant.
