StormTracker alert for the next few days

(WALA) – We have received a StormTracker warning for the next few days as active weather returns to the Gulf Coast. A front is moving through tomorrow and the danger of strong to severe storms is looming ahead. Everyone needs to pay attention to the weather until Friday morning when this risk ends. There is a risk of several squalls.

We saw the first specimens appear in the late morning and early afternoon today, but they will be scattered throughout nature. The majority of the storm will arrive tomorrow morning. Make sure you have the ability to receive any alerts if they are issued. The biggest threats will be gusty, straight-line winds and very large hail.

Tornadoes are possible, but they are less likely. On Friday afternoon the weather will clear and the humidity will drop. This sets the stage for good weather this evening and for Mother’s Day weekend. In fact, we could be in the upper 50s by daybreak on Saturday! The chance of rain/storms will increase again next week.
