12 people are detained and 2 arrested in an attempted robbery on the West Side, SAPD reports

SAN ANTONIO – Twelve people were detained and two arrested after police were led to an apartment following an attempted robbery on the West Side, according to San Antonio police.

Police said the call about the robbery came in around 4 p.m. on Monday.

At some point, two people ran to an apartment near Potosi Street and South Hamilton Avenue and were later arrested, police said.

Ten people from the apartment were also arrested. However, the police did not say whether any of them were involved in the alleged robbery.

It was believed that a third person was involved in the incident, but after a thorough search of the area, police were finally able to clear the scene.

It was not immediately clear where the first robbery had taken place.

No injuries were reported.
