Robotaxi company Cruise has to pay a $112,500 fine for delaying the report on the towing incident in San Francisco in which a woman was seriously injured

SAN FRANCISCO (KGO) — Cruise faces the maximum penalty for failing to report an accident in San Francisco in a timely manner.

According to the California Public Utilities Commission, Cruise must pay $112,500 for withholding information about the October crash.

A woman was hit by a car in the city center and thrown against a robotaxi.

Eventually she was dragged six meters by the robot taxi.

This led to Cruise ceasing operations in California and recalling its vehicles.
