Franklin man arrested on felony charges after incident at Labadieville store – KQKI News

Early Saturday morning, Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reported that officers arrested Jeremy J. Randle, 36, of 323 Second Street in Franklin, LA, on a felony charge in connection with an incident at a retail store in Labadieville.

Officers responded to a complaint in the 3000 block of LA 1 in which the complainant stated that Randle was inside the closed business and may have been armed. When officers entered the establishment, they found Randle asleep inside with a handgun nearby. It was determined that Randle was not authorized to be in the building.

Further investigation revealed that Randle is a convicted felon and is therefore prohibited from legally owning a firearm.

Randle was arrested and booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center. He is charged with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and trespassing on a commercial premises. He will remain incarcerated pending a bail hearing.
