Teenager arrested with loaded firearm in West Haven

WEST HAVEN, Connecticut (WTNH) – A juvenile was arrested Friday for carrying a loaded firearm, according to West Haven police.

At around 6:15 p.m., officers became aware of an unknown altercation between minors on Glade Street when they noticed a young man against whom they knew there was an outstanding arrest warrant for robbery.

The officers confronted the youth and during the arrest, according to police, a loaded .380 caliber pistol fell out of his pants.

The minor was taken into custody and later transported to the Bridgeport Juvenile Detention Center, police said.
