Person dies after police chase ends in crash in Cobb County

COBB COUNTY, Georgia – One person died after a police chase in Cobb County overnight.

Cobb County Police confirmed Channel 2 Action News that a car crashed near Frey Road and Abington Walk.

A Photographer for Channel 2 Action News Shortly after midnight, there was a large police presence in the area.

According to police, a suspect was involved in a “brief chase” before the accident. One person in the suspect’s car died.

Police did not release any details about the incidents, nor did they say whether the person killed was the suspect or someone else in the car.

Officials continue to investigate this incident.
