Police still searching for suspect in fatal shooting in Oklahoma

AND RIGHT NOW THEY ARE TALKING TO WITNESSES TO TRY TO PIECE IT ALL PIECE. THIS WAS THE CRIME SCENE ON THURSDAY NIGHT AROUND 10:30. CRIME SCENE SURROUNDS THIS APARTMENT COMPLEX AS THE OKLAHOMA CITY POLICE INVESTIGATE THE CITY’S MOST RECENT MURDER. WHEN THE POLICE ENTER THEY FIND A PERSON HIT BY GUNSHOT. THIS VICTIM, WHO HAS NOT YET BEEN IDENTIFIED, WAS TAKEN TO THE HOSPITAL WHERE HE LATER DIED. IT IS UNCLEAR WHAT EXACTLY HAPPENED BEFORE THE SHOOTING. WE KNOW HE ENTERED SOME SOMETHING OF ARMED CONFRONTATION WITH SOMEONE. LOCAL POLICE EXPLAINED TO OUR TEAMS THE SHOOTING TOOK PLACE IN THE VICTIM’S APARTMENT. THE VICTIM WAS READY TO GET OUT THE FRONT DOOR WHEN THE DOOR OPENED. THE SUSPECT FIRED HIM. OKLAHOMA CITY POLICE SAYS THERE WERE AT LEAST SIX PEOPLE IN THE APARTMENT DURING THE SHOOTING. Gary Knight said. “It’s unclear exactly what happened prior to this shooting. We know he got into some sort of armed confrontation with someone.” The victim, whose name was not released, was taken to a local hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. Officials on the scene said the shooting occurred in one of the apartments where at least six people were inside. “The victim was about to walk out his front door. As the door opened, the suspect fired one shot,” Lt. Jeff Cooper said. No further information about the shooting has been released. “When officers arrived, they found a subject under fire,” said MSgt. Gary Knight. “It’s unclear exactly what happened prior to this shooting. We know he got into some sort of armed confrontation with someone.”

The victim, whose name was not released, was taken to a local hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.

Officials on the scene said the shooting occurred in one of the apartments, where at least six people were present.
