Two people arrested in drug raid in Roanoke

ROANOKE, Va. (WDBJ) – Two people were arrested in a drug raid in southeast Roanoke on Friday, June 14.

According to the Virginia State Police, special agents and officers in Roanoke conducted an operation involving controlled buys of suspected fentanyl.

According to police, the Star City Drug and Violent Crime Task Force and the City of Roanoke Violence Suppression Unit executed search warrants in the 1300 block of Dale Avenue and the 600 block of 19th Street.

According to police, special investigators and officers seized 17.3 grams of suspected fentanyl, 8.4 grams of methamphetamine, 7.3 grams of an unknown powder, 14 prescription drugs and 2 firearms.

Nathan Shane Dooley, 22, and Stephanie Elaine Mills, 32, both of Roanoke, were arrested and charged with possession of fentanyl with intent to resell, possession of methamphetamine, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and possession of a firearm in the presence of Schedule 1-2 narcotics.

According to police, both are being held without bail at the Roanoke Adult Detention Center.

Police say Dooley and Mills face further charges.
