Police: Suspect of attempted robbery in Upper Marlboro hit by car and killed

UPPER MARLBORO, Maryland (DC News Now) — Police said a man accused of attempted robbery was killed Friday night.

The Prince George’s County Police Department (PGPD) said officers were called to a gas station in the 9200 block of Crain Highway in the unincorporated part of Upper Marlboro around 12:50 a.m.

The caller told officers he drove to the gas station to call 911 after armed individuals attempted to rob him near a home in the 9500 block of Tiberias Dr.

The man told PGPD that he hit one of the suspects with his car.

Officers went to the area to investigate and declared the suspect dead.

The investigation was ongoing Friday afternoon. The PGPD asked anyone with information to call (301) 516-2512.
