Motorcyclist killed in accident near Ramona

A motorcyclist was killed in an accident on a country road east of Ramona on June 7.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the victim’s two-wheeler left State Route 78 at around 12:15 p.m. and struck a tree near Casner Road between Ramona and Santa Ysabel.

The driver died at the scene, the CHP reported. The motorcyclist’s name has not been released pending notification of his family.
