Ellison Ridge Road in Summers County closed after truck accident

SUMMERS COUNTY, WV (WVNS) – Portions of Ellison Ridge Rd. will be closed until at least Saturday afternoon, June 8, 2024, following an accident.

Ellison Ridge Rd. (CO. RT. 27) will be closed from Bluestone River Rd. to Bolen Rd.

A tractor-trailer carrying a crane overturned, forcing the highway department to close the road. The Summers County Emergency Management Center confirmed that the truck driver was treated for minor, non-life-threatening injuries.

The Summers County Volunteer Fire Department and West Virginia State Police arrived at the scene.
