Two LDS missionaries killed in North Dakota traffic accident – LocalNews8.com

SALT LAKE CITY (KIFI) – Two missionaries of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints were killed in a traffic accident on Tuesday.

A church statement said the missionaries served in the North Dakota Bismarck Mission.

The missionaries were traveling on a highway outside Beulah, North Dakota, when their vehicle collided with a semi-trailer that had stopped on the road due to an accident, it was said.

Elder Jacob Aaron Kesler, 20, of Ely, Nevada, and Elder Robert “Tommy” Gardner, 20, of Riverton, Utah, both died at the scene of the accident.

Elder Kesler has been in office since July 2022 and Elder Gardner since November 2022, it said.
