LET’S TAKE A LOOK AT THE DAMAGE TO THE COURTHOUSE. POLICE TOLD US TWO WINDOWS WERE BROKEN. THE RIVER COURTHOUSE IS STILL UNDER CONSTRUCTION AND THE OPENING DATE IS NOT YET DETERMINED. A man is in jail after police say he smashed windows at the new federal courthouse downtown. Benjamin Weig is charged with first-degree criminal damage to property. Police told KCCI that two windows were smashed. The Riverfront Courthouse is still under construction and an opening date has not yet been set. Weig’s motive for damaging the courthouse was not disclosed by police.
