Officials said Davenport left the house and began firing a handgun. Officers from the Omaha Police Department and the Nebraska State Patrol returned fire. None of the officers were injured.

Davenport then took a woman hostage and fled the scene in a silver Ford Fusion, according to police. Police pursued the vehicle but quickly lost sight of it as Davenport drove through nearby Upland Park.

Omaha police confirmed Davenport is still at large and could be armed and dangerous, but they do not believe he is still in the area.

Police described Davenport as a 6’3″ white man weighing about 180 pounds. He has brown hair and distinctive tattoos on his neck. Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to call 911 immediately.
