Robbery suspect arrested at end of chase in Lynwood

Five robbery suspects were arrested at the end of a chase that began in Orange County and ended in Lynwood on Sunday.

According to officials with the Santa Ana Police Department, the pursuit began sometime before 6:30 p.m. The group was wanted for three separate robberies that had occurred shortly before.

According to police, the suspects robbed a Nordstrom Rack store in Tustin and two DSW shoe stores in Santa Ana before the chase.

The incident eventually ended when the suspects reached the 710 Freeway in Lynwood, Los Angeles County, after evading pursuing officers from both the SAPD and the California Highway Patrol of Orange County.

When the five suspects were arrested, SkyCal was visible.

No further information was provided.

The incident caused a massive traffic jam on the highway that could be seen for miles.
