Sexual harassment: Teenager and 30-year-old woman sexually harassed in Bhopal | Bhopal News

Bhopal: A teenager and a married woman were sexually harassed in two separate incidents in Bhopal. The incidents were reported at Katara Hills and Shahjehnabad police stations of the city on Saturday. In Katara Hills, a 19-year-old student was sexually harassed by her father’s brother, police said. The survivor, her parents, grandparents and her accused uncle live in the same house, police said. The accused is a bank employee. The accused had a bad eye on his niece. He sent her obscene messages and tried to sexually harass her. The girl informed her parents and grandparents but fearing defamation of the family, they remained silent. Police said the accused inappropriately touched and slapped her, following which she decided to file a complaint. Police said they were an educated family and most of the family members were employed in public services. The case has been registered and the matter is still under investigation, police added. In the second incident reported at Shahjahanabad police station, police said a 30-year-old married woman was sexually harassed by the accused, who threatened her with death if she did not give him the desired response. Police said the accused knew the survivor and called her and followed her on her way to her work. He made objectionable remarks and expressed his desire to marry her.
