Eustis man killed in wrong-way head-on collision in Orange County, cops say

ORLANDO, Florida. – A 42-year-old Eustis man was killed in a wrong-way head-on collision in Orange County Sunday morning.

The fatal two-vehicle crash occurred at about 2:30 a.m. According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the 42-year-old was driving his 2013 Kia Optima north in the southbound lane of Orange Blossom Trail near Jones Avenue when his car collided with a 2012 Toyota RAV-4 that was also traveling south.

The Eustis man was taken to AdventHealth Apopka, where he was pronounced dead. The driver and passenger of the SUV were taken to Orlando Regional Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.

The crash remains under investigation.
