Grayson Murraytwo-time PGA Tour winner, died Saturday, Commissioner Jay Monahan confirmed. He was 30 years old. There were no immediate details on the cause of death. He had withdrawn from the Charles Schwab Cup Challenge at Colonial on Friday.

“I am at a loss for words,” said PGA Tour Commissioner Jay Monahan. “The PGA Tour is a family, and when you lose a family member, you are never the same. We mourn the loss of Grayson and pray for comfort for his loved ones.”

Murray and his then-caddy Doug Schwimer were involved in a scooter accident in Bermuda in 2022. The two were on their way to their hotel on their scooters when they collided head-on with a car. Murray lost consciousness. He suffered serious injuries, including 50 stitches – 25 of them in his face alone. Although he was wearing a helmet, he had to be hospitalized for significant injuries as a result of the accident.
