Rye Police ask public for help in identifying driver of school bus crash

RYE – Rye Police are asking the public for help in identifying a driver who allegedly illegally passed a school bus on Monday, May 20.

At around 3 p.m., an incident involving a green Mini Cooper with white racing stripes was reported.

The vehicle, which also has a “U” sticker on the rear window, was seen passing a school bus in the Rye area.

Officers are currently investigating the complaint and reviewing surveillance footage from the time of the reported incident.

Authorities urge anyone who witnessed the incident or may have relevant information to come forward.
