Woman evacuated by helicopter after her car overturned off NB I-15 near Stoddard Wells Road in Victorville

VICTORVILLE, Calif. (VVNG.com) – A traffic accident on northbound Highway 15 south of Stoddard Wells Road on Wednesday, May 22, 2024, resulted in a woman being flown by helicopter to a trauma center.

The incident occurred when a white Chevy Malibu with an Arizona license plate left the highway and rolled down a ravine in the right shoulder lane.

Rescue workers immediately arrived at the scene of the accident and found the driver trapped in the badly damaged vehicle.

Due to the severity of her injuries, firefighters from the Victorville City Fire Department requested a helicopter to fly the woman to an out-of-area trauma center.

There is currently no update on her condition. The cause of the accident is currently being investigated by the California Highway Patrol (CHP) Victorville Station.
