Lafayette High School pepper spray incident resolved by FCPS

FCPS officials responded to a disturbance in one of the classrooms Wednesday afternoon. The classroom was evacuated to ensure the safety of uninvolved students.

According to the school, the student who initiated the incident became increasingly aggressive toward officers. When he refused to cooperate, the student was sprayed with pepper spray.

To ensure the student’s well-being, an ambulance was called as a precaution. All people affected by the pepper spray were examined and treated at the scene.
