Wanted Erie man arrested after being identified at casino

(WJET/WFXP) – There are many ways to gamble with money in casinos, but an Erie man recently gambled with something different after he showed up at a local casino and security found out he had a warrant for his arrest .

According to Pennsylvania State Police, an unnamed 46-year-old man from Erie attempted to enter Presque Isle Downs and Casino on May 1 but was flagged by security as an exclusive manager.


Police said it was later discovered that he also had an active warrant for his arrest for failure to appear through the Erie County Sheriff’s Office and that he was confronted at the playground before being taken into custody.

During a search of the suspect, it was discovered that he was also in possession of an unspecified amount of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.

Charges have since been filed in Erie County Court.
