Two million men injured in truck accident

MIO – The Oscoda County Sheriff’s Office responded to a two-vehicle crash on May 17.

According to a statement from Sheriff Kevin Grace, Oscoda County 911 received multiple calls in reference to an injury crash on M-33 near Pond Drive in Big Creek Township at approximately 6:55 p.m.

This is what the investigation revealed A tan 2010 GMC Terrain was traveling north on M-33 when the accident occurred. The driver of the Terrain attempted to turn west onto Pond Drive and entered the path of an oncoming 2015 Chevy Silverado pickup truck.

The officers provided assistance to the two residents of the area and helped with the rescue until the fire department and rescue workers took over command. The occupants in the vehicle and the driver suffered serious injuries. A 21-year-old Mio man is flown to Munson Medical Center in Traverse City.

The Terrain’s passenger, also a 21-year-old Mio man, was transported to Munson in Grayling and later taken to Traverse City for treatment. Both men are in serious but stable condition.

The driver (51) and The 27 passengers in the Chevy Silverado were uninjured and refused medical treatment. Both live in Mikado.

The incident is under investigation. Speed ​​and alcohol don’t seem to be a factor at the moment.
