Kannada actor Pavithra Jayaram dies on the spot in a road accident and his family is injured

Popular Kannada and Telugu actor Pavithra Jayaram, who portrayed the role of Thilottama in the hit Telugu television series Trinayani, has died in a car accident in Mahbubnagar district of Telangana. She died on the spot in the accident at Divitipally in Mahbubnagar district on Sunday while she was returning to Hyderabad from Bengaluru, police said. According to Bhoothpur police, “She died in a road accident at Divitipally in Mahbubnagar district at 1 am last night. She was on her way from Bengaluru to Hyderabad.” Her car lost control and hit the divider and later her vehicle was hit by a bus, sources said.

While Pavitra died in the accident, media reports said her cousin and her driver were seriously injured in the incident. Further details are awaited.

Her death shocked the entertainment industry and left her colleagues and fans in mourning. Actor Sameeip Acharyaa mourned the loss of the actor. He wrote on Instagram Stories: “I woke up to the news that you were gone. It’s incredible. My first on-screen mother, you will always be the special one.”
