First weather warning: Sunday morning update | Weather

Northern lights will be possible again this evening as Delmarva continues to experience dreary conditions at times. Wet weather is possible several times over the next week.

Mother’s Day looks dreary here on the coast. We expect partly to mostly cloudy skies with occasional showers throughout the day. Even though we’re expecting a downpour next, you’ll need to have an umbrella and rain jacket ready for all Mother’s Day activities. Temperatures will rise to the low to mid 60s.

We expect skies to clear overnight and temperatures to drop to over 40°C. Northern lights are possible again tonight, especially early in the night.

The region will experience warmer and drier weather early next week. There will be plenty of sunshine on Monday and temperatures will climb into the low 70s. We’ll stay dry for the first half of the day on Tuesday as temperatures drop back down to the low to mid 70s.

Further rainfall is expected into the daytime hours of Wednesday on Tuesday evening. This rain can be heavy at times. For more details on your forecast, be sure to watch CoastTV News at 6 and 11 p.m.
