Federal prosecutors are demanding 40 years in prison for the man who attacked Paul Pelosi

After the attack, David expressed regret for the harm caused to Paul, emphasizing: “He was never my target and I am sorry that he was hurt.” However, this apology does not diminish the seriousness of the crime committed traumatic impact it had on the victim and his family.

The defendant, who faces up to 50 years in prison when the verdict is announced, accused the judge of giving incorrect instructions to the jury before they deliberated.

Prosecutors scoffed at the request. They claimed they had proven their case in court.

“The defense team was allowed to present its theory to the jury – that the defendant targeted Speaker Pelosi because he believed she was part of an elite, corrupt cabal and because of her role as head of the Democratic Party,” they argued the prosecutors.
