Temple police are investigating a road accident in which two people were injured

TEMPLE, Texas (KWTX) – The Temple Police Department is investigating a serious bodily injury traffic accident that left two people injured.

According to police, officers responded to the intersection of Westfield Blvd around 11:30 a.m. Saturday morning. and W. Adams Ave. because of a traffic accident. Upon arrival, officers located the victim, who said she and her daughter went to the car that hit her to discuss the accident when a woman got out of the car and began attacking them both.

According to police, a bystander came to the aid of the attacked victim when the woman ran back to her car, got in and hit the adult victim as he fled the scene.

Both victims were transported for medical treatment and are expected to be OK. The suspect was located and taken into custody.
