A Kansas man is going to prison after being found guilty of sexual abuse of a child under 14 in Johnson County. On Monday, Johnson County District Attorney Steve Howe announced that a jury found Timothy Ryan Hugo guilty on July 26, 2024, of two counts of sexual abuse of a child, two counts of rape of a child under 14 and one count of aggravated sodomy. Sentencing for Hugo is set for October 21, 2024 at 9:00 a.m. Aggravated sodomy of a child under 14 carries a prison sentence of approximately 12 to 54 years. Assistant District Attorneys Ryan Walkiewicz and Kinsella Brunetti prosecuted the case, which was investigated by Olathe Police and the Johnson County Crime Lab.
