Elkton police make arrests after several obscene incidents

ELKTON, VA (Rocktown Now) — Elkton police have arrested an individual they believe was involved in several obscene incidents at businesses across the city.

In a Facebook post, Elkton police said they arrested Alonzo Eugene Williams on July 19.th for one case of sexual exposure and one case of resisting prosecution.

Police said the arrest was the result of an ongoing investigation into several incidents reported by businesses in the city involving Williams engaging in inappropriate sexual conduct in front of guests.

Upon arrival, the officers conducting the investigation did not observe any crimes, nor did they observe the complaining parties or the directors of these companies. The officers then issued trespass notices on twelve different private and government properties.

Elkton police added that there have been several cases where officers have been notified that witnesses recorded these incidents on video on their cell phones but left the store before police arrived.

Elkton Police are asking the public for help in identifying witnesses to these incidents and obtaining video evidence of these acts or eyewitness accounts in order to pursue additional charges.
