1 person killed in motorcycle accident in Millcreek

MILLCREEK – A motorcyclist was struck by a car and died Friday night in Millcreek.

Shortly before 9 p.m., Unified Police received several calls from witnesses reporting that a motorcyclist had been struck at the corner of 3900 South and Highland Drive.

According to Unified Police, a motorcycle was traveling north on Highland and turning west when it was struck by a car traveling south. Sergeant Aymee Race said the vehicle went through the intersection on a green light, but unfortunately the motorcyclist turned in front of the driver.

The motorcyclist died in the accident, further details are not available.

The driver remained on site and is cooperating with the investigation. The intersection was to remain closed for several hours Friday night while police rushed to the scene of the accident.
