Warm weather period can last a whole week

WEATHER HISTORY: As the maritime tropical air mass of the Gulf of Mexico moves into our region, a southerly wind will develop and these two factors will bring more heat this week. We will be warmer than normal for at least seven days. Most days will be sunny, which will help keep temperatures high, but this heat will also create lift through convection. Therefore, thunderstorms will also be possible, especially on Sunday, Monday and next Thursday. For now, it looks like they will not remain very severe.

FRIDAY NIGHT: The sky will be clear to partly cloudy. The nighttime low will be 67. The wind will be from the south at 5-15 mph.

SATURDAY: It will remain mostly sunny with highs in the 90s in many cities. Winds will be out of the south at 10-20 miles per hour.
