Andy Cohen was cleared of misconduct allegations following the Bravo investigation

Andy Cohen has been cleared of wrongdoing allegations following a Bravo investigation into allegations made against him by two alumni Real Housewives Stars: Bradi Glanville and Leah McSweeney.

A letter sent by her attorney to Bravo’s parent company, NBCUniversal, states: Real Housewives of Beverly Hills Star Glanville alleged that Cohen sent her an inappropriate video message in 2022 in which he stated “his intention to sleep with another Bravo star that night while thinking about her and invited her to watch via Facetime.” “.

In the meantime, Real Housewives of New York Star McSweeney claimed Cohen has a “propensity” for cocaine use and “tends to provide more favorable treatment and processing to housewives with whom he uses cocaine.”

In a statement released Weekly entertainment On Thursday (May 9), Bravo executives announced that their outside investigation found the claims against Cohen were “meritless.”

“The external investigation into Brandi Glanville and Leah McSweeney’s recent allegations against Andy Cohen is now complete,” it said. “The allegations proved to be unfounded.”

Back in February, hours after Glanville’s letter was published, Cohen responded in a statement on Twitter claiming this Real Housewives Star was “in on the joke.”

“The video shows (Under deck‘s) Kate Chastain and I were clearly joking with Brandi. “It was absolutely meant in jest and Brandi’s response clearly showed that she was in on the joke,” he wrote.

“Nevertheless, it was completely inappropriate and I apologize.”

Glanville’s legal team then responded to Cohen’s statement in a letter shared with The Daily Beast.

“Why does Andy Cohen get a pass? Any other supervisor at Comcast who did this would be fired on the spot, especially if the excuse was that it was a joke,” they said.

“If it was such a well-known joke, why did he apologize? Because he knows he has the power to control where and how much she works, so he can do whatever he wants and behave in abusive and harassing ways.”

Comparing the situation of former NBC News anchor Matt Lauer, who was fired in 2017 over sexual harassment allegations, the statement added: “Has NBC learned nothing from the cover-up at NBC News?” Now it’s back to protecting those in power. Does Andy Cohen make too much money for Bravo to fire him?

“That’s the message Comcast is sending. Mr. Roberts (Comcast CEO Brian L. Roberts), it’s time to step in and do the right thing. The only thing worse than him apologizing is saying it’s OK because he thought it was a joke.”

The Independent has reached out to NBCUniversal and Cohen’s rep for comment.
