QC suspends private school classes on Monday

MANILA, Philippines — Classes for all grades in Quezon City private schools will be suspended on Monday as President Ferdinand “Bongbong” R. Marcos Jr. will deliver his third State of the Nation Address (Sona) at the Batasang Pambansa, the city government announced Saturday.

“We handed over the State of the Nation Address (SONA) to President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. when he captivated the public,” the city government said.

(The aim is to encourage everyone to listen to President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.’s State of the Nation Address (Sona) and to keep the public away from traffic jams.)

The “Brigada Eskwela” in public schools will also remain closed on Monday.

TThe Philippine National Police will also enforce a gun ban in Metro Manila starting at 12:01 a.m. on July 20 (Saturday) until 12:01 a.m. on July 23 (Tuesday).
